The new Bonn exhibition "ImmunSinn" brings people closer to the central importance of the immune system as a key function for our health. The researchers of the Bonn Cluster of Excellence inform here and in the accompanying program, for example, about immunotherapy and technological progress in immunology, also about Alzheimer's disease and the influence of nutrition on our health. The show conveys her information via 3D models on the one hand and photos on the other hand, the first from the 1860s. The exhibition highlights milestones on the path to immunotherapy in the late 19th century, early 20th and 21st centuries. For example, the exhibition at the Bonn University Museum presents the doctor who first attempted to harness the power of the immune system to fight cancer through bacterial infection.

Cluster of Excellence Immunosensation2

ImmunoSensation2 is one of the six excellence clusters of the University of Bonn and the only immunology cluster in Germany. It is funded under the DFG's Excellence Strategy.
