As part of the University Festival on July 5, 2014 three female and ten male professors - including Prof. Sven Burgdorf from the LIMES Institute - were honored for their outstanding achievements in teaching. They were nominated by the faculties based on an evaluation by the students. "The award is endowed with 4,000 euros and expresses our appreciation for research-led teaching", said Prof. Dr. Volkmar Gieselmann emphasizing that good teaching and good research are not mutually exclusive, but - quite the opposite - are related to each other.
